Girls Belong in Tech is a Lenovo initiative empowering middle and high school girls to explore careers in the growing technology sector. As our society increasingly relies on technology, it’s crucial to address the gender gap; in 2022, women held only 26.7% of tech jobs globally.
We’re on a mission to change that and inspire more girls to pursue careers in tech.
Meet Daksha Karthikeyan!
Daksha is currently a senior at Enloe Magnet High School in Raleigh. She’s executive board for her school’s Medical Bioscience academy and a committee head for the HOSA Future Health Professionals program. She’s the outreach captain for her robotics team and is on her school’s sports medicine team!

Meet Pallavi Mylar!
Pallavi graduated from Enloe Magnet High School in Raleigh. She was part of her school’s Medical Bioscience Academy and Volleyball team. She love to read and watch movies. Pallavi is now a fourth year at UNC Chapel Hill studying Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience.

Ally graduated Cox Mill High school. She is was involved in leadership organizations throughout her school and community and loves planning events. She is also a member of the Academy of Information Technology and specializes in Multimedia Design. Ally is now a fourth year at UNC Chapel Hill studying Business and Marketing.
