Girls Belong in Tech is a Lenovo initiative to help high school and middle school girls discover careers in the technology field. The technology field is rapidly growing as our society is becoming more and more dependent on electronics for everyday life. But, the percentage of women in tech is not keeping up. In 2022 it was discovered that women only hold 26.7% of all tech related jobs globally. We are on a mission to change this.

Meet Ally! Ally graduated Cox Mill High school. She is was involved in leadership organizations throughout her school and community and loves planning events. She is also a member of the Academy of Information Technology and specializes in Multimedia Design. Ally is now a first year at UNC Chapel Hill studying Business and Marketing.

Meet Pallavi! Pallavi graduated from Enloe Magnet High School in Raleigh. She was part of her school’s Medical Bioscience Academy and Volleyball team. She love to read and watch movies. Pallavi is now a first year at UNC Chapel Hill studying Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience.
